The Bonobo Project is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that seeks to elevate the status of the endangered bonobo and coordinate activities to aid in the conservation of this peaceful, female-dominated great ape.
WHAT WE DO
Through public education and outreach, the Bonobo Project will help raise greater awareness of this extraordinary, unique and relatively unknown great ape – the bonobo. Working with other like-minded organizations, we will aim to help protect this critically endangered species. Specifically, the Bonobo Project will host major public events, network with dedicated bonobo activists and academics, build partnerships with key audiences, and raise critical funds for bonobo conservation efforts.
Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide’s office in Sacramento, California works with us on a probono level to help us achieve our goals, utilizing their public relations and marketing expertise. Ogilvy has over 85 offices worldwide, including nine in Africa.
