WORLD BONOBO DAY! FEBRUARY 14
BONOBOS = LOVE
Join us in celebrating the most peaceful of our great ape cousins on this first ever World Bonobo Day. A California Senate Resolution, authored by Senator Isadore Hall III, resolved that he recognizes February 14, “Valentine’s Day,” as World Bonobo Day, and encourages everyone to participate in activities that help to educate the public about the need to protect these uniquely matriarchal, loving and endangered great apes.
Our inaugural Crowdrise campaign this year raised almost $7,000! Thank you to everyone who generously donated to help raise the awareness of the bonobo.
The Bonobo Project will use 100% of these funds to continue to raise awareness for bonobos and to re-grant to organizations fighting to protect them in Congo.
